Pop Matters e-zine preview of Stripper Music says "...revel in 2004's best musical suggestion to date, from [the song] Everybody Should Shut Up "Maybe for one year / Everybody should shut up / And get caught up on love."

Richard Milne of WXRT – Chicago gave This Kind a spin on his Local Anesthetic show recently. Milne singled out the track "Half of What You Need," which he called "phenomenal."

Splendid e-zine wrote of Big Breakfast's first album "[they] get inside the blues, and inhabit them, and make you feel like wailing, or drowning your sorrows... Everybody needs a good howl, and This Kind delivers it hot and fast."

Our first release, This Kind, is also available from our friends at CD Baby.
